Here's the new Inter SM Sammaurese: "Ready for a top-level season."

A new season begins, a new era for football in San Mauro Pascoli —this was one of the key points of the Inter SM Sammaurese presentation. After a brief greeting from Marengo, the owner's lawyer, who confirmed that a new era is beginning, as evidenced by the new name, Inter SM Sammaurese, Antonino Asta took the floor. Marengo first clarified the team's goal for the season: "We don't expect to win the league, but we don't expect to avoid relegation at the last minute or in the play-offs either. We want a championship that gives us some satisfaction, perhaps a mid-table championship. In any case, we want to raise the bar."

Coach Antonino Asta was keen to clarify that he wants attacking football: "I'd prefer a 4-3 win to the usual 1-0. I'm getting back into the game, and what I want is for the team to leave those who come to watch us with the pride of having seen a team that gives everything." Referring to the squad that's being formed, Asta makes it clear that something is still missing: "I'd say we're about ninety percent complete. Numerically, we're missing a few players, both in attack and elsewhere. I'm pleased with what's been achieved so far. The pitch will then decide who starts or not. As I said, the important thing will be to have clear playing principles." As always, there's a lot of talk about groups these days; it's unclear whether the Giallorossi will still be in Group D. Asta doesn't seem to have this at the forefront of his mind: "Whatever group we play in, we know they're all very challenging and high-level. Right now, we need to focus on ourselves before thinking about the group."

San Mauro's mayor, Moris Guidi , who attended the presentation, emphasized that among the city's many sports clubs, Sammaurese has represented San Mauro at very high levels for many years. He then expressed approval for the club's decision to waive fees for first-year youth team members: "As an administrator, I can only appreciate this decision."
